There will be two opportunities to have fellowship with women in our district in 2022. One of those opportunities will have the added bonus of fellowship with women in the Western Plains District as well.
The Western Plains District planning congregations for the Women’s Retreat are excited to welcome the women of the Missouri Arkansas District to join them via ZOOM for a retreat on April 1-2. The retreat will meet Friday, April 1, from 7:00 – 9:00 P.M. and Saturday, April 2, from 9:00 – 11:00 A.M. with open fellowship during lunch from 11:00 – 1:00, and then meet back from 1:00 – 3:00. They have some costs to cover and, therefore, are asking for a $20.00 registration fee per person. The theme is Coping & Hoping. A brochure with registration information has been attached along with this newsletter if you have received it by email. Registrations are due by March 18th.
The officers of the Missouri Arkansas District Women’s Fellowship have decided to have an in-person retreat this year on April 22-23, 2022 at the Bosserman Community Center in Peace Valley, MO. The women of the Broadwater and Peace Valley congregations are planning the program and have selected “You Make a Difference” for the theme of the retreat. The district women are asked to bring stories of times when they have made a difference. The service project will be non-perishable food donations for Samaritan Outreach of West Plains. Some suggestions are gallon cans of fruits or vegetables, rice, pasta, and beans. The retreat will follow the usual format starting with check-in after 3 p.m. and a carry-in meal on Friday evening and concluding with lunch on Saturday. A business meeting will take place on Saturday morning. The Cabool congregation will be in charge of the kitchen and will provide breakfast on Saturday morning.
